pReStiGiOuS pRoDuCt?


Did you buy products based on the prices, designs, durability or for the brand name? Well, I used to support those products for their brand name. I feel that their products must be pretty good which allow them to establish a prestigious brand name for themselves. Not only that, shoppers nowadays asked for good customer service too. Your products will not sell very well no matter how good it is if the service standard is not there. If you want your customers to buy your product and continue supporting you, send your staff for customer service courses. And if you are in the service line, please ensure that you are knowledgeable in the company's products and policies. But if you are unsure, please open your stupid mouth and ask rather than assuming it and give the wrong information to the customer. Why this topic today because I am very unhappy with Nokia's services. They claimed themselves to be of prestigious brand but their service sucks big time. I am sure its not just me who have problem with Nokia phones. According to an article featured on Monday's New Paper, Nokia phones have the most problems and have the most complaints compared to other mobile brands. Now I understand why they need so many Nokia care centres le. Just walk into any Nokia care centre, you will realise majority are there for hp servicing or collection of their hp. Watever it is, I am not gonna support Nokia anymore after the bad service and experience I had when I sent my Nokia 6230 for servicing. I don't have such problem with my Samsung phone in the past and it actually lasts me for quite some time. Whereas for my Nokia 6230, its less than 6 months old and it started giving me problems liao. It's damn frustrating when your hp got problem. Another reason why I am so angry is because I actually sent my hp down for servicing TWICE. They just don't understand how troublesome it is. What's the use of coming up with nice designs and advanced features when the products can't even last a year? Or should I say half a year? Prestigious brand? My foot!

Woke up very early this morning to meet Apple, Noelle and Marilyn at Tampines Mall MacDonalds for our breakfast. Well, we don't just meet up for breakfast nia. We actually got an appointment to see a fortune teller somewhere in Simei. So we plan sui sui, meet for breakfast then head down to the fortune teller's house. All I can say is my life, career, friends, family, health and relationship are pretty stable and normal. Which is a good sign. For me, I prefer to lead my life peacefully and normally. Have a stable job, have a few close friends and a good boyfriend who love and care for me. That's all I asked for. A simple life. I love my life right now because that's what I have wished for. I have a 9-5 kind of job, a group of dearest darlings who I can rely on and a loving boyfriend who love and care for me. After everyone got their fortune told, we left the place and headed to Esther's house. She was supposed to meet us for lunch after our session with fortune teller but she was down with a fever. Poor Esther darling. She was really very sick and weak wor. But with us around to keep her accompany, I am sure she felt better. Well, laughter is also a form of medicine mah. Just hope that she will recover very soon and join us for more kopi cum gossip sessions *wink* I don't lor soh le. Here comes the photos taken today. Enjoy!

I SOOOOOOOOOO love Jay Chou~~~ He is SOOOOOOOO cool~~~ I just watched Initial-D with my dear dear at Tampines. My dear dear went to try and see whether he could get the tickets for the almost island-wide sold-out tickets for the movie, Initial-D. I am not kidding hor. When my dear dear was on his way to get the tickets at Tampines Century Square, he noticed everybody seem to be walking very fast. It's like everybody knows everyone is there to buy tickets for the Initial-D movie lor. Ji kua zhang yi sia lor. Anyway, the movie rocks! Jay Chou rocks! It's definitely a movie not-to-be-missed! Oh, let me dream of Jay Chou tonight pls~~~~~~~~


Before I continue with some of the photos taken just now, let me apologise for not updating my blog for the past few days. Well, I was down with a fever and a bad flu. Was on medical leave for two days since Wednesday. Basically what I did for the past few days was sleep, take my medicine and still sleep. Haven't fallen so sick for quite some time le. Flu virus is spreading very fast and it seem like a lot of people caught it too. So do take care of yourselves and remember to drink lots of water. Ok lah, me got to head to bed le. Me going to meet the girls tomorrow at Tampines Mall. Nitez!

Went Devilsbar on Friday for the celebration of Esther's birthday. But due to some reasons, she couldn't turn up. Anyway, I hereby would like to wish Esther a happy belated birthday. iTs nOt jUsT a bLoG


I have been visiting all my friends' blogs ever since I started blogging to find out what's their latest happenings and keep myself updated. You might meet your friends like once or twice a week but there are things which you only get to know when you read their blog. So when the Devils bitches meet up and started talking about our recent happenings, if anyone do not know what we were talking about, we will say :"Orh~~ Didn't read our blog hor? No wonder you dunno sial." It has since become a daily routine to read everyone's blog (Provided they got update lah) to keep ourselves updated. But have you all ever thought what will happen if your precious~~~~ blog is gone one day? Everything will be gone. You will not be able to retrieve it back and read it when you are free. Maybe to some people, its just a place to jot down your daily life. But there are those who penned down their personal thoughts, those sweet moments and memories they once have. Apple once told me she wanted to bring every single post in her blog just in case its gone one day. She even thought of buying files and archive them by months. Some might be it;s ridiculous. But I don't think so. It takes time and effort to update every single post and every single photos. It consists of all the memories you have with your loved ones. Someday, you might just wanna read back all those things you have done in the past, the places you have gone, the things you have tried, the happy and unhappy times of your life. Don't talk about the blog closing down or disappearing. Sometimes when you finished typing your post and uploading the photos, but somehow or rather it just won't published due to an error or you accidentally deleted it, you would have felt very lost and helpless. Because even if you gonna do it the second time, you won't be able to remember what you have typed just now. Ji bei ai right? Ok lah, I don't lor soh liao. Tofay is Friday and the devils bitches will be heading down to Devilsbar for Esther's birthday celebration. It's been weeks since we stepped into Devilsbar and all of us were looking forward in having a great time partying tonight. Friday rocks!

After reading Lim Buey Tor's post on the three superheroes : Superman, Batman & Superman, I came across this special article featured in the Life section of Straits Times. This special article was on the three superheroes. Below is a summarised version of the article.


Batman
He stands out from the comic hero crowd because he doesn't have any super powers. Instead, he trains both body and mind to battle the bad guys. In his real life, he is a billionaire which explains why he has the the resources to build cool devices and spend evenings chasing criminals without worrying about a day job.


My views : Damn shiok sial. A super-rich superhero. Without superpowers somemore. I also want leh. Me as Batwoman? Sounds great ya?


Superman
He is the last survivor from the doomed planet Krypton, infant Kal-E1 is energised by Earth's yellow sun which grants him superhuman prowess so that he is "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings". In addition to all that, he flies. The only thing that can stop this underwear-flashing hero is a radioactive element called kryptonight, which comes from the hero's home planet.


My views : Watched Superman cartoons when I was young. Was kinda fascinated to see a superhero who can fly around. But when I grew up and heard this superhero wears his red underwear outside, my fascination turned into disgust. So unglam can~


Spiderman
He received the attributes of a radioactive spider after bitten by it. It includes heightened senses and the ability to shoot webs. Guilt-ridden by the fact that he could have prevented the death of his uncle, he does good to redeem himself. But he usually accomplished this at the expenses of his aunt and wife, Mary Jane.


My views : Used to play the PS2 Marvel Heroes game with my ex-boyfriend. I will select Spiderman and the purple octopus as my "fighters". I select Spiderman because he can shoot webs to trap the enemies whereas the purple octopus can suck the enemies' power. The purple octopus will be usually my last fighter as a backup so that I can win the game by always sucking the enemies' powers. *evil laugh*

a WeEkEnD iN BeD


Spent my whole weekend in bed... whole body aching... physically exhausted... had too much of it during the weekdays... need to recuperate before I start all over again. I was ....... DOWN WITH A MIGRAINE LAH~


Sial la, don't think until so far leh. Think straight hor. Bu yao siang wai hor. Got my migraine attack since Friday. It was really bad. Went to meet Noelle and Apple for lunch and shisha on Friday. Well, both of them were enjoying the strawberry-flavoured shisha while I was lying down by the side resting. The weather was very hot and the migraine was killing me. I ordered an ice-cool Orange Granitas specially recommended by Noelle. The coolness did relieve me of my migraine for a while. With the fan blowing on top of me and lying down in a comfortable position, I fell asleep. Both Noelle and Apple were still happily smoking their strawberry-flavoured shisha while I went to the dreamland. When I woke up, they were still happily smoking their strawberry-flavoured shisha and drinking their Mango Granitas (for Apple) and Red Apple Granitas (For Noelle). For your info, Granitas is some kind of ice-blended drink. Not wanting to spoil their mood, I decided not to sleep and try my best to stay awake though the toopid migraine just refused to go away even after taking a nap. Somehow or rather, the three of us started talking about business. We wanted to start a business ourselves and ideas kept flowing throughout the whole conversation. I will not divulge what kind of business we had in mind here. It's private and confidential. *Zip mouth* All I got to say is I had fun on Thursday when I met Ju and Noelle for Ktv session and on Friday as well. It's total relaxation. Though it's Monday today, but I am full of energy and motivation. After you have a good rest, you will have a clearer and better mind to start on your work.


After the shisha session, we went on separate ways. I took a bath and a light dinner when I reached my dear dear's house. Couldn't withstand the throbbing pain in my head any longer, I lie on the bed and rest. Woke up at about 10am the next morning. Still don't feel well but got to bring the CPU back to my house for my sister. CPU was not working, so I asked Max to help to fix it. That explains why the CPU is at my dear dear's house. Back home, quickly fix the CPU back and test whether its up and running again. Laze around in the house, packed my room, washed my clothes and checked my emails. Took 2 panadols before I went over to my dear dear's house. Met up with Max, Cindy, Dennis & Alicia for dinner at the 85 Bedok food centre. Due to Max's wrong estimation of time, we finished the food in 30 mins in order to be on time for our movies at Tampines Mall. Rushed like mad sial. Heng ah... we didn't missed out any part of the show. By the way, the movie we were watching was Cursed. Eh, the movie was kinda out of point. It's about werewolves de. Not really scary. I think buy DVD watch better. =X


Sunday was a super nua day. Slept till 2 plus in the afternoon. Watched "Hide & Seek" DVD after lunch at the comfort of my dear dear's bed. Took a nap after the boliao show. Woke up at about 7pm and went to meet Dennis & Alicia for dinner at Compass Point. Well, thats basically how I spent my weekends. Mostly in bed. LeAd a SmOkE-FrEe LiFe


For all the smokers out there, have you ever ask yourself whether you will quit smoking for the one you love? It is an easy question but I am sure it's difficult to make that decision.

Well, I used to be a smoker. I started smoking during my secondary school days. When you were young, you think smoking is cool. I still remembered I got punished severely by my parents when they found out I took up smoking. The punishment was one I will not forget as long as I live. My dad asked me to kneel in front of the ancestral table and finish 12 sticks of cigarettes in 10 mins. I tell you its not easy. The feeling was terrible. But being a rebellious kid, I didn't learnt my lesson. I continued this habit till recently when I met this special someone. He is not a smoker. I love him and we got together. For him, I gave up smoking. Why such a sacrifice you all might asked. It's because I love him. And its worth giving up something for the one you love. It's not easy during the process of quitting but I persevere. I know its worth kicking the habit for him. Because I love him.

Finally got those photos which were taken on Saturday during the mini farewell party for my dear dear's colleague Sandy from Dennis. Before we proceed to the photos, let me update you all what I have planned for myself tomorrow and Friday. I have taken half day leave in the afternoon tomorrow and Friday to get away from the work and stress. Been pretty busy lately in the office and hasn't been having sufficient rest too. And now its the time for me to take some time off to relax and enjoy myself. But I will not be enjoying alone. I have accompany. And the person is ..... *drumroll* Ms Noelle! I will be meeting her tomorrow afternoon for a ktv session at KBox. Just the two of us. Isn't that great? We could sing all we want tomorrow! Yeah! Don't envy us ok? Kekeke =X . As for Friday afternoon, Apple will be joining me and Noelle for this relaxation aka 'duang' session. Anyway, it's gonna be fun for us these few days. Simply couldn't wait for tomorrow to come man~ Ok lah, I don't lor soh liao. Here comes the long-awaited photos!

LaZy & BuSy & TiReD


I was busy running around with my dear dear during the weekends. We attended his cousin's soleumization on Saturday afternoon. After giving the newly-weds our best wishes, we went to the PC Show at Singapore Expo. Well, quite disappointing because most of the participating booths were from those small companies. Though nothing much to see, but there's still a lot of people there looking for good buys. It was damn crowded lor. After viewing every booth for the PC Show, we went to Millenia Walk to have dinner with my dear dear's colleagues. Well, it was a small farewell party for my dear dear's colleague, Sandy. If you still remember, she was the one who ate the most prawns when we went to eat steamboat at Marina South that time. After dinner, I suggested going to Paulaner for a drink. It was really fun having her around because she damn on and steady. There was one part when she was playing five-ten with my dear dear. Sial la, imagine the both of them spending about 10 mins debating which language to say. -_- ''' sweat until no sweat to sweat lor. After asking her to down for about 1 litre of the beer, she was halfway gone liao. Actually we wanted to bring her to Devilsbar for some dancing de, but she beri high liao. Hahaha... So Dennis and Alicia quickly fetched her back home to rest.


As for Sunday, me and my dear dear woke up early to go to his cousin's wedding lunch at Marriot Hotel. The food and service was quite good. Their servings were quite big compared to some other hotels I went to for wedding luncheon or dinner. That day not only was the special day for the newly wed, it was also the bride's birthday. The groom was so sweet. He sang a love song on the stage as a gift to his wife. After singing, he said a love song should not be sang too often if not it will not be special anymore. Well, quite true also. After the wedding luncheon, my dear dear fetched his mummy to work first before we went home. We were so tired that we slept till 9plus at night. Not wanting to go out and have our dinner, my dear dear cooked us some noodles and eggs. Really sweet of him =). It was TV time throughout the rest of the night before we hit the pillows.

DeAr dEaR's MuMmY's BiRtHdAy


Yesterday was my dear dear's mummy's birthday and my dear dear brought the whole family out for dinner to this chinese restaurant at Crown Prince Hotel called Long Jiang Sichuan Restaurant. The food is not bad and it will be a bonus if you are a big eater because they serve ala carte buffet lunch and dinner. Last night was actually my second time there. The first time was with dear dear's colleagues. Well, though I went with two different groups of people, but something similar happened. The last few dishes always turned out to be fish. Not normal sweet and sour fish fillet. It's a WHOLE fish. Imagine the expressions on their faces when they saw the fish being served. All very full liao but somebody got to finish the fish. The first time was Max who insisted he wanted to have fish and he got it until the last dish. Haha... Freaking full but he got to finish the fish because he request de. Last night was my dear dear's turn. And it's not one but two. One fried fish and one steamed fish. In order not to waste food, all of us helped to finish the two fish dishes. Suddenly I thought I was living in the Cats & Kitties World sial. Below are some of the photos taken last night. There isn't any photos on food today because it's not nice to take photo of the dishes in front of my dear dear's parents. Erm, I worry they will mistaken me as "Mei Shi Zuan Jia" or food gourmet. Kekeke... It's Friday again! With the Great Singapore Sale already started, enjoy all the cheap sale and bargains this weekend if you are going on a shopping spree. For those IT geeks, there is a PC Show at the Singapore EXPO and it ends on Sunday. Do check it out if you need any gadgets or softwares. As for me, I will be attending my dear dear's cousin's solemnization on Saturday and wedding lunch on Sunday. BUT will definitely do some shopping if time allows. =)

Woke up this morning with red, sore and swollen eyes. The cause of it was too much crying. Please don't be mistaken hor. It's not because my dear dear bully me thats why I cried. I was watching The Passion of the Christ with my dear dear last night. Didn't have a chance to watch it when it was released in the cinemas that time. It was a very touching show can~ The scene when Jesus was tortured and beaten were so brutal. The way he was humiliated, the betrayal from his own disciple Judas, his another disciple Peter denied knowing him and the moment when he was to be cruxified were heart wrenching scenes that make me tear non-stop. Haiz... so sad~~~ Life is so fragile sial. We must really treasure whatever we have now. Cannot take things for granted. Sorry for being so emotional today. Ok lah, I shall stop here. Got to work liao. Got loads to do. Ciao!
